Today, my 14-year-old daughter told me she's pregnant and plans on dropping out of school to live a life on the road with her boyfriend. FML

Time for some strict parenting! This is your chance to set her on the right path, to define the rest of her life :)

At least there's a spot for her on MTV.

wow...what a great display of parenting there...so for your next achievement are you going to run over the family dog or take your fish for a walk......FML for you means Failed My Life along with the traditional meaning as well!!!!!!!!!

Jesus Christ mothers aren't permanent ****** vigilantes blame the one who spread her legs ffs how is this the parent's fault??

Are you looking for people to say your life sucks? You deserved every bit of this. You're the parent, if you didn't spend so much time doing anything but raising you 14 year old, this wouldn't happen.

Yes, spend all of your time watching your kid instead of working to pay the bills to support said kid. Makes sense to me.. Not really.

I'd have to disagree with this. It's usually the child's fault, even if the parent is an amazing parent. They have other things to do. They can't watch their child every minute.

Sounds like you're one of those parents

hope everything goes well op :/

It's her own life. Yes, you should be concerned and give her advice, but in the end, you can't forbid her to leave.

This is a joke, right? She's a child. OP is the parent, they can very much forbid her to leave and actually it's their duty. And they should press charges against the boyfriend too, because that's statutory rape.

Actually, they can. Their child is a minor and is legally forbidden to live on their own until they're of age in whichever state they live in.(Which certainly isn't 14.)
