Today, my 15-year-old son told me that he and his new girlfriend are deeply in love and are meant for each other. The "girlfriend" in question? My fiancé's 12-year old daughter. FML

That's one way of keeping it in the family

Maybe he just doesn't want you to get married. Being a teenager sometimes you're just selfish.

This sounds like a script for a "Brady Bunch" episode that never was filmed ... with good reason.

Incest does NOT have to be direct blood relation. It can be close family/relative. It's weird and a 15 year old should not be dating a 12 year old in elementary school.

I don't see how that's bad they are in love so be it. They're not blood related anyway

it's necessarily not bad but soon they will be related by marriage

I don't what's up with all these people arguing about whether this is incest and talking about sex. They're KIDS for Christ's sake! Let them be kids! I'm sure they'll probably grow out of it!

This is no more incest then when in-laws get together

Well, it's not incest. If the person wouldn't be your fiancé, that'd be a random 12 year old girl, and then it wouldn't be a problem. I'd say it's just unlucky circumstances.

There's literally no practical way to prevent this from happening. It's hard enough to keep teenagers apart from each other normally, but when you force them to be in close proximity and in regular contact, you've already set yourself up for failure. Just let it ride; best case scenario: well best for you at any rate, is that they break up.
