your a mo.... use the water in the tank of the toilet.
you could have gone to the gas station and washed your hands
no bottled water or clear soda or antibacterial hand sanitized? that sucks, you musta had some kind of chemical cleaning supplies I hope
do you not own a kettle? or ice water in ur fridge?
It is quite clear who above have a dog and who don't, OP couldn't have left the apartment. In Britain at least you are required by law to clean up your dog's shit if it goes on the street (good luck picking up diarrhoea with poop bags), and OP can't realistically leave it alone in the apartment without destroying more carpet. Even if it was crate trained, leaving it restricted so close to its bed when it can't control its bowels would cause the dog a lot of stress. Yes the OP should have prepared with some water stored, but if it was shut of in an emergency there would be no preparation time and the toilet water wouldn't have been a sufficient quantity for cleaning diarrhoea.
bad dog!!
Hey, ever heard of, hmmm I don't know... disposable latex gloves, maybe? Duhh
take your dos outside more often. problem solved.
Eww! Gross! That shit would have just waited...literally!

You can't really train for diarrhea. They aren't able to hold it.
I thought it was a given that just about everyone has bottled water or even a jug of tap water in the fridge. If not, you could have gone out and bought a gallon for under a dollar :)
