Could there possibly be an underlying reason that might not have been disclosed? Not to suggest people haven't been fired for less but coffee beans? Seriously? Are you in charge of $10,000,000.00 international contracts for Starbucks or something? I could see how an accidental obligation for 20 tons of Columbian dark roast could be worthy of getting canned if it was supposed to be a light roast from Equador.

It might have been the final straw. Perhaps the OP fails at detail orientation, or ordered Kope Luac instead of Folgers and destroyed the budget for the year?

Today, I went to my local Starbucks for a simple cup of coffee. I was unable to get one because some douchebag ordered the wrong coffee beans. I hope he gets fired. FML

well if you can't manage to get the right coffee, your more than likely not going to be able to handle the bigger jobs, therefore you aren't needed in that company. learn to take better directions next time
