I notice you don't mention where you work. If it is an office, that's ******. If you work in a coffee shop, especially one that has a reputation for a certain type of coffee then you absoloutely deserved it. Depending on the amount, bad coffee + word of mouth about bad coffee can essentially ruin a business.

YDI. If you're in the kind of position where getting coffee beans isn't unusual, then your inability to follow simple instructions is a warning flag of things to come. For those of you who are rambling about lawsuits, "incompetence" is a valid reason for firing someone in Canada.
