Sounds like a logical reason. Do some research, maybe her ex is incredibly hot and irresistible, in that case, you almost could have had an office rendezvous.

You must live in a no fault state. If that is the case, that means an employer does not have to give a reason for firing someone.

Got to love "right to work" states! You can be fired for any reason at any time and without cause. What can you do about it? NOTHING! that is your "right to work"!
