To the people saying she could have stopped him: That's not the point. Spontaneous nosebleeds are rarely painful; I doubt it was the continued sex in itself that bothered her. It was probably a surprising revelation of her boyfriend's insensitivity, which startled her too much for her to react at once. Most likely it fully dawned on her afterwards.

There could also be a flip side to this. Perhaps the OP is prone to random nose bleeds and the OPs boyfriend is aware of this. Perhaps this is not the first time the OP has had a random nose bleed that interrupted sex and maybe just this time the OPs boyfriend decided not to have to suffer for it. If you already know that someone is ok and just a bit messy, blue balls may not be worth it. I've never experienced it as a female but I do know from my own experiences that it can be painful to be right near the point of climax and suddenly stop.
