Congratulations, OP!
OP if I were you I'd ask your Dad why he feels this way, maybe he has a good reason and maybe he doesn't. My theory is that he really liked the OP's ex and dislikes the fiance for being the "replacement", I don't know them so I could be wrong but it sounds like the most likely scenario. If the Dad doesn't like him cause their personalities don't click or due to prejudice, or the above reason than he's just going to have to accept it. On the other hand love makes people blind and oblivious so maybe the fiance isn't a good guy and if your friends and family don't like your partner chances are it's for a good reason. OP your Dad is not the only one who disproves of the relationship you need to open your eyes.
Sometimes fathers know best. I wish I would have asked my dad's opinion of my now ex-husband before we got married. He never said one negative thing until I asked just before we separated. And, as always, dad was spot on.
congrates.
Sorry about your dad. That's awful, but you only get one life, marry the one you love girl :)
There's a reason y ur ex is ur ex...

Screw him. Congratulations on the proposal! :)
Congrats OP! I'm sure your dad will come around, he probably just doesn't know your fiancee well enough yet
