Raven3434 tells us more.
Just to put it out there, he had complete kidney failure. He is now on dialysis. His kidneys are toast and he needs a transplant. Apparently it was caused by years of high blood pressure. His kidneys were in trouble before we even met. And I had been encouraging him to go to the doctor. He had seen a few doctors, but nobody diagnosed him until his lungs were full of fluid. He can't drink too much fluid because he can't get rid of it without dialysis. He cant eat too many fruits or vegetables because he can't process out the extra phosphate and potassium. He also has to limit his sodium, but that wasn't part of my original post. Just wanted to clarify things. Thanks to all of you out there who offered support. Its been a really hard time.

dtp882, this website used to be full of people in their 20s, mostly college students. Then 13-year-olds like you came in and turned it all to shit. I mean, you're getting upset that people are reacting negatively to you trolling the place? I don't get it. If you're going to act like a little baby, people are going to treat you like a little baby.
um ... if you had kidney failure you would die within a few days because your body wouldnt be getting rid of any waste products
He should have went to the doctor's sooner, and if the OP knew that he has a kidney failure, she should have looked it up before giving advice that might resulted in his death. Ignorance kills! At least you didn't really kill him and he's still alive, right?
You tried to play little miss doctor, despite being completely and utterly unqualified for the role. The only difference between you and a quack is that you only nearly killed one person, as opposed to professional quacks who succeed in killing many people. If you do not have any sort of medical education, DO NOT GIVE MEDICAL ADVICE! "Common sense" is no replacement for having any clue whatsoever what you're talking about! YDI, and he deserves it too for listening to some random chick off the street (which is all you are, when it comes to medical education) instead of a qualified professional.
Best of luck to you and your boyfriend, hope everything turns out okay! And it isn't even close to being your fault so don't blame yourself
hey if you guys need a kidney for him, I have two working ones, if plane ticket is covered and such, I would be more then happy to give one of mine. you only need one to live. I have had a 3 stones, but that's a me thing not the kidney. if you can't find some one hit me up. I got one to spare.
I am very sorry about your boyfriend.. but if you seriously think about it.. maybe you should have looked into his illness first instead of doing the whole.. obvious sickness treatment. you can't blame ourself for trying to help.. but you really should have just left it to a professional.

it not your fault, in normal circumstances, that's a good thing
