I'd say get rid of him. People that have attitudes like that won't change that's who they are. Same thing with people are immature past when it's generally acceptable. That's their sense of humor, it isn't gonna change.

I actually had a friend similar to your boyfriend in middle school. Almost all of our conversations was about him telling me how to be cool. According to my "friend" you couldn't be cool if you had zits, wore bangs, had a stomach that sticks out, or if you're best friends with a girl who gets bullied constantly. I never changed, but every time he gave me advice I just wanted to punch him in the face. No one should have to change for anybody unless we want to, but by our own choices and not by the judgmental criticism of others.

I'm liking how everyone here is quick to thrash the guy without asking if the OP had put on weight, changed to a more sedentary lifestyle, etc. Sounds like OP got comfy, put on weight, and assumed her man would be okay with it. Sorry, if you can't take care of yourself, then I don't need you around.
