Today, my dad asked to borrow some money off me, so I said okay. Later on, he told me he'll be using it to help divorce my mom. I pretty much just helped pay for my parents' divorce. FML

Sorry to hear that OP, but I have to say you somewhat deserve it for not asking what the money was for. If my parents want to borrow a dime off me, they better tell me what it's for, and if it's not a good reason, they aren't getting it. Maybe that's just in this area though.

I'm sorry to hear that OP, that sucks. But I do have to say you slightly deserve it for not asking what your father wanted the money for. If my parents want a dime from me, they have to tell me what it's for and if it's not a good reason (like cigarettes or something), I won't give it to them. Maybe that's just how things work here though.

My boyfriend had to pay for his parents' divorce because he was the only one with a stable job at that point. Sad times. :(

wow that doesnt suck much only if you think they're not happy with each other and you dont feel comfortable in the house then is good but if you think they're happy then must be a 3rd person in the story
