Getting a permit is entirely under your control, so if you don't have one, go do it. Getting a car is definitely more difficult but again you can do it. Get a job and save some money. We all had to do it.

Use it to find the DMV, then a job, then a dealership to buy a car. Nothing in life comes easy. Get used to that now. At least you've got a nice gift. Stop being an ingrate.
