I like the number of thumbs down this comment received; it's like people don't think a parent is responsible for the end result of their child-rearing.
you obviously weren't overprotective enough
If you were over protective, she wouldnt have been able to have sex anywhere in your house. Now that she's 18, and decided you're over protective- time to kick her out, but only until she comes crawling back. My mom hovered over me and my BF at all times.
Tell, her u know. Thats why u poked holes in the condoms so she will get prego and have to deal with sorry ass kids like her.
This, this is why I hate humanity. Not only because of the stupidity of the comment, but also because of the number of people that agree with this asshole. Yeah, sure, instead of dealing with the situation maturely let's set the child up for failure out of spite. And not only is that an immature way of dealing with it, we're going to make some who seemingly isn't ready for parenthood..... wait for it.... A PARENT!
dude kick her ass out!! she's 18 and you have no obligation to care for her now
You don't have to be protective... just make sure she's well informed and knows the consequences. She gets pregnant? All hers. She gets and STI/STD? She can deal with and pay for it. Old enough to screw, then old enough to take responsibility for themselves!
Giving someone knowledge is the ultimate form of protection, it's what parents are supposed to do. I'm happy to see that someone on here seems to understand even partially the concept.
there isn't really enough information to judge this fml. I know parents who are overprotective but are nice about it, but that isn't always the case. my friend's mom tries to be overprotective, but when she does anything wrong her mom and stepfather beat her. Either way, let your kid see the real world when they complain, no matter how old. I was 12 when I rebelled an my mom let me figure out my own food, ride, ect. she still paid, but I was basically on my own for alot of stuff.

a rude awakening for what? a rude awakening for actually CARING about you? my parents are overprotective too but it's for my own good. at least they care enough to protect you. some parents don't care about their kids at all..
