Today, my fiancée and I were going on our honeymoon. Our flight was delayed by two hours. It landed when our connecting flight to St. Lucia was taking off. The airline said they were holding the flight for us, so we sprinted from D gate to A, in time to watch the plane pull away. FML

Today, to avoid a massive delay on our scheduled flight at the airport, we were generously moved to an earlier flight home. An hour later, our new flight had been cancelled and they told us we'd be stuck at the airport overnight. Our original flight took off fine. FML

Today, I was at the airport getting ready to go to Hawaii. The guy at the counter said my flight was delayed. It turns out that the flight that was delayed was a flight going to Miami. My flight left at the regular time, and my luggage was on it, because I checked in the night before. FML

Today, I went with my girlfriend to the airport for some much needed vacation time. We arrived on time but were stopped at the gate when they told me I didn't have the right passport. The plane left without me. My girlfriend did too. FML

Today, due to a scheduling error, I spent an entire day and night in an airport, over 30 hours in total. Just as I arrived at the gate, I was informed that my flight had been delayed for another 2 hours. FML

Today, I was on a flight home. I wasn't going to arrive until midnight, so I was offered an earlier flight that got back at ten. I got to baggage claims and it turned out they lost my bag. I sat there for 2 hours. The people on my original flight left for home before I did. FML

YDI for not waiting until marriage before going on your honeymoon. I'm not so holier-than-thou and superior that I look down on you for having pre-marital sex. But when you ask me to tolerate pre-marital honeymooning, that is something I cannot do. Some lines must never be crossed!

Yuck, that's happened to me a few times. Worked out pretty well, in the end - we missed our connecting flight out of Paris, and ended up getting to spend an extra day there in a hotel paided for/owned by the airport. They're really great about making sure anybody who missed a flight gets taken care of.

oh, that freaking sucks, because it's an international flight, and you've already landed in some place far away from your house, where i'm guessing you probably don't know anyone. not to mention, a lot of places only have one international flight a day. i hope you had a good airline that was willing to do something about that. i've only had it cancelled *knock on wood* from where I live to JFK and then it was international, so we had to scramble to the line and get them to book our tickets for the next day's flights.
