Today, my friend told me that Otter Box phone cases protect the phone whether it's thrown or just dropped. I disagreed. He then threw his phone across the room into a cement wall to prove it. The phone's screen was completely shattered and now he thinks I owe him a new phone. FML

Buy him a really old flip phone, or perhaps a Nokia and tell him you agree that the Nokia won't break

Well that's idiotic that he thinks you should give him a new phone, he's stupid for thinking that wouldn't crack it, your life sucks Op.

He says his phone is indestructible, throws his phone and then somehow you owe him a new phone. His logic is on point.

Obviously the friend wouldn't have thrown the phone if OP had just agreed in the first place. Therefore 100% OPs fault... /sarcasm

sadly, that probably is his logic. Perhaps OP should remind him that the phone case is a great flotation device and he can try it out in the deep end of some lagoon.

I miss my old Nokia phone. That thing was a beast. Tell it's his own idiotic fault and to get insurance next time.

I think your "friend" really just wanted a new phone. Otter box are crap cases. My life proof case is better than those cases. My husband is in construction as he was amazed that his phone looks brand new when he takes this case off compared to being filthy when he took the otter box off.

until life proof went cheap and don't have a film over the front anymore to protect the screen

If you can't afford a new phone, don't try stupid shit like that lol, he deserved it for being an idiot.

You told him exactly what you thought would happen. Not your fault he's stupid.

He needs a new phone and perhaps you need a new friend

get him an old phone where he can only call and tell him you're one hindered percent sure he won't break it
