Today, my girlfriend broke up with me because I didn't call her in the last few days. I tried to explain to her that I was out at my grandfather's house in a remote place with no cell service to stand by him on his death bed. She thought I was making excuses and called me a lying bastard. FML

Um as soon as you found out you would be going to your grandpa's place you should have told her. You were about to suffer a death in the family and you didn't even want to talk to your significant other about it or tell her you were going out of town? That's ****** up. It's beyond ****** up that she doesn't believe you but I totally agree that you should've given her a heads-up. It's harder to believe someone if they didn't give you advance notice.

Sounds like she did you a favor by breaking up with you. Sorry to hear about your grandpa. I agree with what some others said, you should send her a funeral invite. Not that it matters as far as getting her back - why would you WANT her back - but just to show her she shouldn't be such a paranoid bitch to people.
