This CAN'T possibly be the whole story, I kind of refuse to believe that anyone would destroy a piece of expensive equipment over an alleged single comment that was allegedly made so innocently. I can begin to understand the girl's point of view if, perhaps, you constantly make passive aggressive little snips about her weight etc.
