Today, my hamster gave birth. The babies were very cute and I couldn't resist petting one. Apparently touching a baby hamster will cause it's mother to reject and devour it. I am now know in my family as "The Hamster Slaughterer." FML

Today I was born, and this strange creature towered over my mother and my siblings, and touched one of my siblings. Later my mother decided to eat the sibling that the creature touched. Now I am terrified of being petted. FML

Relax guys, the OP obviously didn't know and no one's perfect. That sucks though. Hamsters are pretty picky and sometimes eat their young even if you don't touch them.

I agree with #26. Hamster babies are pretty ugly. And it's alright if you didn't know not to touch it. Now you do. If any of your friends have hamsters, tell them that. It's common knowledge though... However, like I said before, it's alright if you didn't know. You're not expected to know everything. Next time just pick up a book or read information on the internet before allowing your pets to breed. ;]

Well YDI since you shouldn't mess with newborns of other species. Plus the FML sounds more like its cause of your new nickname, which isn't much of an FML or far off from the truth. Ultimately though, it's your parents fault for not teaching such an important lesson, and if they are calling you 'Hamster Slaughterer' then FYL for having retarded parents.

I agree with 27. Seriously, just because some of you are ******* animal whisperers doesn't mean the OP was going to be. A number of things could of happened like he/she didn't realize she was preggers or the pet belonged too a sibling or the whole family. Hamsters are just like rats. It amazes me how people care so much more about animals than humans. I for one didn't know that you couldn't touch baby hamsters. big ******* deal. Can't blame the OP because hamsters are disgusting.

you should have read about that you cant touch them in the beginning because if you do the mother wont recongize their child and eat them; so dont blame the mother its your fault for changing their sent! wow after all the work you just had to!
