Sounds like my school in a rural Midwest town. When we graduated and they announced the plans of my classmates, very few of us were college bound. The majority was "entering the workforce" or "joining the service". Our school councilor didn't even try because she figured what's the point.

that's hard to believe. you have the Internet. you don't need her help anyway. that's sad that your high school doesn't encourage post secondary education. I bet they are thinly spread and focus on dropouts.
