Today, my history teacher confiscated my iPhone. She dropped it on the way back to her desk, and I now have a shattered iPhone screen to fix. FML

You probably could make her pay for it. Sure you weren't supposed to be using it in class, but that deserved confiscating, not BREAKING. (Also don't they have cases and stuff that you can get so that kind of shit doesn't happen? Otter box or something?)

There's no proof OP had it out or was texting. They could very well have not put it on silent and it went off in their bag. Make her pay for it, that's not right.

I put your life sucks cos I know what it's like to have a nice phone and the screen is broken but to be fair, you did kinda deserve it if you were using it during class. You also deserved it for buying an iPhone. Them things shatter if you drop it from feet height. Should have got a Galaxy S2 or similar.
