Today, my husband and I were talking about names for our expectant child. I told him since I named our daughter he could name our son. He's decided on a name from 'God of War'. My son is going to be named after a make-believe cartoon character - Kratos. FML

People wont necessarily know that it is based off of the video game, in which case that will be a very cool name.

Kratos is a good name. Who cares where it came from? Stop bitching first off. I don't see why videogames aren't a respected hobby these days. They are works of art in themselves and should be judged as a piece of art as are paintings and movies. So F your husbands L for having to deal with a whiny dumb bitch such as yourself. i hope the kid's personality/body reflects that name. it'd be pretty shitty if he was named Kratos and he was a scrawny nerd. but don't feel too bad, Kratos isn't awful. my boyfriend always threatens me with the prospect of naming our unborn son Optimus Prime.

it isn't really a cartoon, its a video game and it isnt make-believe, kratos is originally from mythology i think a lot of people will either probably pick on him or be very scared of him because its a pretty (unique?) weird badass name but i think that is going too far .-.

I agree with #37, God of War is super cool. I think Kratos would be a very original name for a guy :) I think it would be better than something so generic such as 'John', 'Brad' or 'Bob'. Lastly, Kratos isn't from the cartoons.
