Hey it's better than waking up with a punch to the face or sac tap just saying it could be worse.
you need to wake your ass up
A friend had a cat he used to spoil madly, cooking it an egg every morning for breakfast. The cat realized that he got his egg when my friend got up, so waking his owner became the cat's purpose in life. My friend learned to sleep through all manner of feline attacks -- but eventually the cat discovered that tipping the bedside-table glass of water onto my friend's head worked wonders. Even if there weren't immediate result, the cold, wet pillow forced him up pretty soon. His solution was to move egg time to afternoon. Maybe OP's mom started with the water because nothing else was working. Either way, here's hoping you can break your mom of this habit, OP. If nothing else, maybe start setting your own alarm for before your mom is likely to come in?
I had a teenaged son that I did that to. What he and probably the op will leave out are the ten times of asking him to get up with varying degrees of niceness. From "Good morning, time to get up" to "If I come up these status one more time, I'm bringing the water." Most moms do not go around pouring water on their children for no good reason.
Absolutely correct!!
My thoughts exactly. Maybe op just stays up all night playing video games and never wakes up until at least noon.which can get annoying; when everyone else in the family is already up hours ago being productive and helping out around the house.
There must be a reason! I've only done that to 1 of my kids, years ago! My son wouldn't wake up for anything!! After asking nicely, begging, threatening, what else can a parent do?
YDI! If you'd get up on time I'm sure this wouldn't happen again.
Then get your ass out of bed on time!
sounds like its time to get an alarm clock
Serves u right. Be an adult and get out if bed when ur supposed 2.

Stupid mom! Boiling water would work much better.
Wake up and smell the morning ice-cold water!
