Today, my mother still refuses to acknowledge my son as her grandson, all because I had a C-section, which she says is unnatural and against God's will. I only had the C-section in the first place for health reasons. FML

How dare you be careful with your own life?! That's not gods will! In all seriousness though, do you really want a crazy, over-zealously religious woman like that be near your son? Be thankful, maybe?

Maybe that wasn't an option 2000 years ago. Neither was half the stuff she owns.

What a win, she's insane so why would you want a grandmother like that for your son?

You don't need that kind of negativity in your life. You got the c-section cause it was better for you and put you and your son at lest risk. I've had a section and lemme tell you, I'd sooner have had him "normally" if I could but it was too risky! I don't know of ANYONE who'd says"oh yeah I would rather have a section"Your mum should be grateful didn't he fact you're both still alive.

I'm a weird one. I had a C section after 52 hours in labor. My son pooped, so we had to get him out. I was so ready. After the first day I told them that he's not coming out any other way. I just knew I'd have to have a C section and I'd rather get it over with now than have to do another 24 hours. My recovery was super easy too. I don't plan on another baby, but if I do it'll be another C section.

That's her loss sunshine. If she doesn't see that, she's an idiot. I'm sorry your mom is being so cruel.

Well I was adopted, and my son was born by emergency C Section. My adoptive mother would kill anyone who suggested he wasn't her grandchild. OP's mother has been reading too much Macbeth.

She needs a swift kick to the front but!!

aaahh religion, justifing the worst in us for 2 millenia.

If you'd died, she'd have said it WAS gods will. Boy am I glad I stopped going to church.

On the plus side, your kid can kill MacBeth.

It may not be "natural" to have a C-section, but it is most definitely a sin to let the child die otherwise. She needs to get her priorities straight.
