Today, my niece stole a bottle of whiskey from me to mix with Monster and get drunk with her boyfriend. It was a bottle of 23-year-old Pappy Van Winkle's that cost over $2000. FML

Make her pay for it. Every last penny, no matter how long it takes her. Adjust for inflation if you're feeling particularly aggrieved.

And where did you end up hiding her body?

She best pay you back with interest

Hey i saw your post about it on imgur, how small is internet huh ?

Her parents would be making a very large bank withdrawl OR she would go to jail for Grand Larceny... yea, I am that much of a bitch... I hate a thief, and refuse to give out cut cards for them- family or not.

I gotta ask... WHY ISN'T SHE IN HANDCUFFS?

Time to have a talk with her parents and I agree with people time for a payment plan

Your fault for putting it where she could get it, and call the cops for theft and have her arrested

Maybe I just don't have an appreciation for "fine whiskey" but YDI for spending 2k on freaking alcohol. Your niece deserves some kind of punishment for stealing from you but how the hell was she supposed to know what it was "worth"?

I hope this brat got punished appropriately, which includes paying you back every penny. If she felt the need to steal whiskey from somebody instead of buying a bottle herself, then it's clear that she's underage.
