What is a dissertation?

Sue for time loss, personal property damage, and what you have to spend rebuilding it if postponing the defense means another semester of school paid (damages). Also, I keep my personal files on a thumb drive no one knows I have. And my fiancé has female friends. Often married or taken. I don't expect him to never speak to a female again. That would be rather abusive.

If it was digital like on a computer there's still a possibility it could be recovered.

OP, do you email your dissertation to your committee chair periodically? Granted I'm just getting my masters and my thesis chair has me email her every week. Granted you could have had a great week, wrote 20 pages... But that's better than starting from the beginning.

Kill the bitch. No seriously, if somone would have deleted my dessertation (I know how much time that takes) I would want to kill him/her. If my bf was best friends with a girl in which they were really close and spent extended periods of time alone, then yeah, I would be concerned, the same way I would expect my bf to feel if I hung out with one guy all the time. She's not wrong for being concerned.
