I created a FML account a couple of minutes ago just so I could write this comment. No seriously, I did. First let me say dude that absolutely sucks! At least that crazy chick is gone now but freakin' hell, deleting the backups too! She's insane! I urge you as a fellow Y-chromosome holder to seek legal action against this woman. I'm not a lawyer so I don't know the ins and outs but I'm sure you could get her pinned for 'destruction of property' or something similar. Only problem is that if she pleads insanity she'll probably win 'cause she sounds like a right mental case!

I don't know for sure about Australia, but destruction of property is a viable charge. If you ask me though, I'd say screw a charge and ask your teacher for an extension ASAP, before it looks like you're cramming.
