Exactly! The job market is *terrible* right now. People with four year degrees in Liberal Arts majors and good grades are often stuck searching for jobs for months or years. Even people with engineering and computer degrees don't have a guarantee to gain employment immediately after graduation, anymore. What chance do they think you will have of ever making a sustainable income with nothing more than a high school diploma? Its simply not enough qualification to get most jobs anymore. The market is flooded with more qualified people. The piece of paper says a lot. Hell, I'm enlisted in the military, and even we are being constantly encouraged to get at least two-year degrees. If all else fails, you can look at the military and the GI Bill to pay for college. I bet your parents will have trouble arguing with that. Remember that there are scholarships and student loans, and that you are a legal adult at 18. Don't give up on education, and all the best in your future pursuits.

Obama has been leaning towards socialism and now we're in a bigger debt than we ever were with Bush. While I do think that we should have public schools and government military, I'd prefer a more capitalistic society. As for the legalization of marijuana, with that legalization I think we would see an increase in crime and human stupidity which is always unhealthy.

How would legalizing marijuana increase crimes? After all, it'd be legal, thus not a crime, and it'd be safe, not some shit bought from a dealer. Alcohol is more dangerous and it's legal. And you Americans need to get your facts straight about socialism; it's not communism, and it's not a bad thing (why anyone would NOT want free health care lies beyond my grasp...)

Nothing about "free" health care is free. Just because the people who advocate for it don't have any intention of paying for it themselves doesn't mean they aren't planning on forcing someone else to. Your freedom to be you includes my freedom to be free from you, don't force the results of your poor life decisions onto others when they get expensive or inconvenient.

I don't understand why people get pissed off that someone wants their parents to pay for college. I don;t care how hardworking or independent you claim to be, if YOUR parents offered to pay your way in college, you'd take that. Most people want to start their careers debt free. >__>

Isn't it pretty hard to support yourself entirely through college based on some part time minimum wage job you had in high school? =/ Now I don't know how things work in your country but over here if your parents are still working and earning above a certain amount of money, you're not even allowed to apply for some loans/scholarships.

I have yet to hear any left wing pundit encourage bigoted, racist, sexist, homophobic or violent behavior. I'm well within my right and right mind to disregard and distrust the right wing. Please go learn to think in a manner that has not been fed to you since before you could talk for yourself. And before you jump down my throat...I identify as liberal because more of my opinions and views are seen there. But I do have some more conservative ideas regarding fiscal management and certain areas of governmental restraint. I go to peace rallies and I'd enlist if I could.
