I find it very strange that your boyfriend told your sister before you. I think that the partner should be the first to know about a possible marriage, followed by the parents, relatives and friends. You know, saves a lot of embarassement when she says 'no'.
There's a good possibility that they HAD discussed marriage, but not the exact time of the proposal. He may have asked family members about things like ring sizes.
That's true, but still... I would definitely not like the idea that my whole environment knwes my boyfriend was going to propose. Also, for ring sizes, just sneak one of her rings away.
This reminds me of the reporter on YouTube who ruined a footballers proposal to his cheerleader gf. So awkward to watch!
