Today, my suburban, white boyfriend of two years told me he wanted to tell me something serious. He sat me down, looked me in the eye and said "I want to be gangster." I started laughing thinking he was joking. He was 100% serious. FML

yeah ok for the people who said a buissness man and a gangster have no difference u said that cuz ur either an idiot or uneducated. maybe 2 u there isnt a difference EXCEPT THE HUGE FACT OF BREAKING THE ******* LAW.

You have to realise the law doesn't define what right or wrong is, as what SOME businessmen do is exactly the same as what drug dealers do, they are just more discreet with their ways which the law allows. The law is not perfect, it intends to make life fairer for the community as a whole, but in many cases it does not help individuals. Law abiding or not, there are businessmen out there (more than you realise), that do the same as drug-dealers and gangsters, make money out of unethical practises.

Wangsta is so annoying! It's everywhere in my school; I personally can't stand it. Your boyfriend probably got hit on the head or something.

I agree. This should be deleted. There is too much racial stuff going on. -_-

seriously people, you have no idea what streetlife is. im not gonna claim im from the hood, cuz im not. im not glorifying that shit. but i know a lot of people who ARE from the hood and guess what, its tough as hell to get out . GANGBANGING, YES, IS for communities and families. gangbanging (not original gangsters) originated in cali. ever heard of compton and south central? so if u live in the hood where theres 1 main gang set, chances are u r gonna join that gang (unless you can do otherwise, for the positive) . gangbanging believe it or not IS for families and communities! although its terrible and violent, it happens in the hood. damn people, saying gangsters are really dumb is mad ignorant. so tupac was dumb? no, he happens to be one of the best rappers ever and a poet. yes gangs are in every neighbourhood, except for really wealthy neighbourhoods, but hey, they're never far away. toronto has a ton of gangs, anybody from here should know. once a city gets big u get gangs, u cant escape it. gangbanging is not evil, if u were in this situation, what would u do? imagine yourself. pressured by family (if theyre like that) and FRIENDS. all your friends wanna join a gang.make easy money commiting crimes and hustling. older people from the neighbourhood who you like are now telling u to join the gang. what do u do? u cant exactly run away cuz u live there. but what else can u do? school sucks, u cant pay the bills, crime is the way to make money. drugs and stealing stuff. a hustler is different from a gangster. a hustler is just about his money and not about the community. all of u are saying gangsters are not about the community , because its a DIFFERENT kind of community than what most of u are used to. IMO, TRUE gangbanging is 1990's, and i think its kinda over now.gangs are still here, definitely, i dont think theyll ever go away. so im glad that the new type of california culture JERKIN is making it mainstream, because i love that shit and its keeping kids away from trouble. but a white, gay suburban kid should not be saying he wants to be a gangster. and im not just hating on the fact that hes gay, its just in the hood nobody likes a gayboy, thats where u see all the pause and no **** shit. drop your boyfriend off in Brooklyn/harlem of NYC, compton/inglewood of CA, or the downtown or outskirts of toronto, and hes basically ******..parkdale, jane+finch, grassways ,t-block.... no good. #85, i agree with you. its not gonna be like that episode of fresh prince where carleton is accepted into the hood cuz he acts gangster. gangsters know their roots and have more love for their hood than anything else. people on here are so close minded.

Nobody likes gayboys? Now who's close minded? And just because a person is gay does not mean you will automatically know. Those drag queen, depraved homosexuals in lipstick and pantyhose are the disgusting stereotype that keeps gay guys trapped in the closet. My voice is deep, my clothes are normal, my speech lacks a lisp, and my boyfriend is the same way. Just like not all gangsters are the black guys waving their hands around, not all gays are the shemales on the parade float.

Check_Mate: she/he (idk) never said NO ONE likes gayboys. she/he said that people "in the hood" dont like gayboys, which is true. so dont get so defensive before you've read it and completely understood it.

gangs didnt start in CA, NWA just made it popular. street gangs have been around since the 1800s. but yea i can see where youre coming from and there are some good points

caucasians can't be gangsters? There are plenty of caucasian gangs, dude is extremely stupid

I see you are a man posting about your boyfriend. And there is actually a gang called the Gayboy Gangsters, I learned watching a documentary on prison gangs. A direction he might want to go in.

Racist! Nah jk lol. I know that kinda person. My friend who lives down the street in my suburban neighborhood is a total wanna-be gangster but he doesnt even admit it. At least your bf is honest
