So? How is this an FML? Did any of your parents have red hair? I think it's a recessive gene, meaning that it can come up again in the second next generation. Look up ‘recessive gene’ in Wikipedia for more info.

Ugh. It's called a recessive trait. If you or your wife have had red hair in your bloodline that was passed down to you through recessive genes, there's a possibility of your child/children getting that trait. If you've BOTH had a parent/grandparent/great-grandparent, etc. that had the gene, the chance increases. Let me guess, you freaked out at her and ran out, and posted this FML from your mother's basement? Spare us, please.

last year my sister and brother in law got a twin, two boys. there both blond en she has green eyes and he has blue eyes. the twin both were redheaded when they were born right now there as blond as they can be!!!
