Today, my wife and I drove two hours from our rural town to buy a new sofa. When we got home, it took us an hour to figure out there was no way to fit it through our door. We made the two hour drive back to return it, only to find the store was closed. FML

A measuring tape would've gone a long way...

Or you could measure your doorway before buying a piece of furniture.

Man, even if you don't own a tape measure, a piece of string could have saved you a lot of hassle. You totally deserve this.

Probably should've have thought of thought before but it still sucks.

see...simple arithmetic and common sense would have come handy here....But just because it's called common sense doesn't mean it is common.

you could've dissemble large parts by acquiring info from the store and assemble it back again.... bruh..

Rule 1: measure twice cut once. Or in this case fit the sofa through a door.

@51 - As a matter of fact, that's the only reason girls go to football games. Even if they get shitty seats, they always have a perfect view of those toned tushes.

Did you try removing the legs? That can make all the difference in the world. I have also taken a door off its hinges to get a couch inside.
