Today, my wife tried to refill the windshield wiper fluid on her own. However, she poured it where the oil goes. Now the car is having major issues. Last week I lost my job, and I have no idea how much this is going to cost to fix. FML

Today, my car broke down. My dad insisted he could fix it, but screwed up in the process. After finally getting the car towed to a mechanic, I was told that I'd only needed a new water pump, but thanks to the damage my dad did, fixing it all will cost me a small fortune. FML

Today, I was driving my car like any ordinary day. My dad had been harping on me about not checking the oil, so I finally checked it. Driving down the road my hood flew up and shattered my windshield. I forgot to latch my hood after checking the oil. $300 for a new windshield. The oil was fine. FML

Today, I told my wife to not drive our car as it has a steering problem and is starting to shake. I got home from work to see it had a flat tire, and asked her if she went anywhere. She'd thought I was exaggerating and went out for coffee. I've been a mechanic for 7 years. FML

Today, after paying back the money my grandma lent me to fix my car, I stepped outside, only to see my car leaking antifreeze all over the driveway. I had to ask for the money back to fix it again. FML

Today, my wife put petrol in my diesel car and ruined the engine, I got a bit upset, but I wasn’t screaming or yelling or anything, but she flew completely off the handle at me at how I was putting all the blame on her and it wasn’t fair. I ended up apologising to her for her mistake. FML

Perhaps not a YDI... If OC didn't find out until he started the car, discovered there was an issue and opened the hood or spoke to his wife you can't blame him. You don't EXPECT the wiper fluid to be mixed with the oil.

LoL wtf?? It's not that damn hard to figure out where it goes. In my car, the lid for windshield wiper fluid has a picture of a windshield being wiped by windshield wipers. The oil has a picture of an oil can and says OIL. XD Sorry OP, but your wife is an idiot.

Drain ALL of the oil/windshield washing fluid out then flush the system with water, then refill and prime the system. And it shouldn't cost more then $150 to fix. And 1 more thing, to advoid this in the future just show her how to do it correctly

You Do Not put water in the engine for any reason yes you drain out the fluid/oil, they sell a flush solvent that won't harm your engine then you put in the new oil and it shouldn't come out to more than $80 if your paying $150 you're getting ripped.
