Kimonos are for women.
there are kimono for men too... it just looks quite different. more squared off sleeves, for example, while a young woman's would have very round sleeves.
Also, the FML doesn't mention the boss's gender anywhere (I don't know why so many people are assuming it's a he). So for all we know, it was a female boss wearing a female kimono.
in Japan, having a suit and tie job is a high honor. it symbolizes importance and prestige.
Cue the Attack On Titan theme song. xP
what a tool!
I wanted to know, is the guy serving champagne supposed to be Sebastian from the anime Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler)? Also, the boss reminds me of Tamaki from OHSHC.
Actually I think he would have appreciated the gesture so long as it wasn't done in a way to be insulting since Japanese hold "face" or honor in high regard. He may have wanted to announce to him that he wore the kimono as a sign of respect and admiration but if he didn't say anything given Americans reputation he may have found it to be worn as an insult.
Is your boss Michael Scott?
well your boss is an idiot and lacks common sence.

The problem is your boss forgot to offer sushi and challenge the client to a katana duel. Great, I posted this twice. Thanks phone. Sorry, can't delete this. Just downvote it
The problem is your boss forgot to offer sushi and challenge the client to a katana duel. He was obviously offended by this.
