if it was me, I'd still like to know who my kid is even if I had to pay child support

Single mothers supporting their kids 100% solo is more common then you seem to think there are lots of dads that don't pay their part. I support my boys with no help. It sucks at times but not impossible

Reading this I thought she was your estranged daughter you almost banged but ran away and it took her six years to get over it and then wish you Happy Father's Day this year. Welcome to my brain.

#76: Aside from equating "good or decent" with having money, I'd have to seriously question the judgement of the mother and her entire family if they decided to wait six years to establish paternity. It'll likely take months (if not years) to finalize it now, so if the child really does belong to the OP and his ex is calling now for money, she sure wasn't planning ahead.

#84: Sure, but we've only got the OP's side of the story, so there's no reason to assume he'd be a deadbeat. I'm extremely suspicious of the ex in this story; if there really is a child, she's either a liar (about paternity), an idiot (for not planning ahead), or a cruel bitch (for manipulating both child and father to prevent a relationship between them). Take your pick.

well that explains why she broke up with you and left, now maybe you can find out why it took her 6 years before she decided to tell you.

You shouldn't be allowed to deny a father 6 years of their childs life just cos it suits you. There should be a massive punishment for doing this. What a selfish b!£ch.

Carmen Sandiego? (Sorry, bad spelling of the last name)...who knows OP, maybe she disappeared because she was knocking boots with guys besides you...does sound like a job for Maury though.
