Today, I was babysitting a five year-old boy. Somehow the topic of relationships came up, and he asked me if I had a boyfriend. When I told him that I was single, he got all excited and asked if he could be my boyfriend. It would have been cute… except he was the first guy to ever ask me out. I'm 18. FML

Today, I went to an elementary school for volunteer work. I was asked to read to a group of kids during one of the classes. Before I started reading, a girl raised her hand and asked me if I had a boyfriend and if I was single. I asked her why and she said "My daddy wanted to know." I'm 16. FML

Today, my boyfriend came to visit from another state. My mom didn't want me to go to his hotel, but I did. When she asked about it, I lied to her and said I didn't go. She the showed me a picture of my car outside his hotel. FML

why is everyone saying "you're embarassed that you're 20 and single??"... i completely get it. and it's quite possible that the 3-year-old could have told someone, or maybe it just felt good to say she (im assuming) had a boyfriend. i love this one and can so see myself doing the same

That could be a possible reason contributing to your lack of a relationship. You try to hard to impress, even the most useless of people! I'm sorry but please do yourself a favor and go out, have some fun, and don't try too hard to flaunt/impress everyone you see.
