Wow, that's kinda extreme, but 'eh. If you have too many drills, it ruins the whole point. As people then don't care during the real thing, or they panic during the real thing because it's not "just a drill"
how can you walk if you shattered your kneecap just the week before? you ******* liar!
He can't you ******* idiot, that is why it took him so long to get down the stairs presumably on crutches, and why this is a FML.
At least you can take th elevator back up. FYL though.
It sucks, but would you rather have it been real and burnt just so you can be spared the little inconvenience that you had to go through? FYL for what happened, but YDI for complaining.
I would complain if my kneecap was shattered and I had to waddle down 14 flights of stairs. And this is the site where people complain. You are the dumb idiot #25
YDI for not bothering to tell your RA/school staff about your shattered knee cap just in case something like this happens.
That's pretty impressive that you walked down the stairs down to 6-7 floors underground in a building that (for all you knew) was on fire. Next time, you should only walk/crutch down 7 flights of stairs and then go outside.
A flight ≠ a floor. Typically, you need to ascend two flights of stairs in order to go up one floor. Hence, 7 floors = 14 flights of stairs.
AAAAAAHHHHHH, NO....... A flight is defined as a group of stairs between floors. Which means that the OP either took the elevator up to the 14th floor and then crutched down em or he descended into some lvls of hell if either are true then YDI, but im guessing hes sayin that ever landing is a flight and only had to walk down 7.....
dude, that sucks. someone shouldve helped you if they knew about your knee
If you knew it was only a drill than why did you even bother?

elevators can be death traps in a real fire, and are reserved for the fire dept to use to fight the fire anyway. your RA/School staff should have been aware of your injury, and made a plan to help you, and any other resident with mobility/health issues to get whatever assistance needed to safely evacuate. try talking to the housing dept, or, if they are stubborn, contact the FD on the non-emergency line, and ask why the evac plan for the school doesn't address injured or disabled persons. if there is no plan, its a serious shortcoming that needs to be addressed. if they just forgot you, someone needs to get their butt chewed out.
