Today, while all the other marines got to fly around the island on a helicopter, I got stuck on gear guard. What was I guarding? The staff sergeant's parking spot. FML

without pogs, you wouldn't be able to do your job. you wouldn't fly, have admin to sort your shit out for you, or be the future of textbooks through pictures and stories that POGS write about you. how about you and your other non-pog friends try to do your job without other people. then, when you finally use your tiny brain to realize you can't, then pull on your right ear. maybe that will let out some of that hot air built up in there.

My boyfriend spent a year in Afghanistan and eight months in Japan. Guess which one he liked more! Maybe you're getting the shit jobs because you got NJP, in which case you should just start keeping your head down. Almost every Marine I know has had an NJP, and several have lost rank over it. But they just kept pushing themselves to do better because that's what a Marine does.

O.o Sometimes they'll make you do it as a test. I don't get the guarding the parking spot though, but they will make you do pointless jobs to make sure your willing to follow the rules. Everyone had a point in there lives when the person that was over them told them to do something stupid. Just think of how much respect you get for serving our country. Mmm, I love a man in uniform! ;) Thank you! :)
