Today, while at work, I helped my ex-husband pick out a ring for the girl he cheated on me with. FML

I hope you convinced him to get an ugly ring then :) Sorry, OP.

What an asshat... I hope you gave him a shit deal on the ring and took a lot of money from him.

I like the saying, "The things you put up with are the things you end up with." YDI, OP. You knew what happened, yet you allow yourself to 'help' him pick out a ring for the very girl with whom he cheated on you. If you were over the whole ordeal, you wouldn't have posted an FML. I'm sorry he cheated on you, but if it bothers you - you need to distance yourself from him. If you work with him, you need to maintain a professional relationship- but keep him at bay. The more you try to help him, the more entangled he'll be again in your life. Stay your distance and find a guy who needs help picking a ring out for you. Good luck, OP.

I read it as OP works in a jewellery store, and her ex came in to pick out a ring... Not that they work together and she offered her help...

The stupidity in your comment is strong.

That is kind of your fault, I mean you are the one who is obviously still friends with him. I mean you could have told him to go **** himself!

And you decided not to ignore him because...?

Three things caught my eye here: 1) people just can't seem to be able to read before commenting. 2) Too many commenters on FML are ass-potatoes. 3) OP, don't listen to the comments telling you to get revenge. Don't stoop down to his level.

Should've went in the back to spit on the ring after he picked it out. But no seriously, sorry OP. Hopefully you tried your best to stay natural and look uncaring for most of the time.

Why the hell would you help him? You coud've just sent someone else..
