Today, while cleaning my son's room, I found an envelope labelled "PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL" under his bed. I opened it, only to find it was a glitter bomb. I couldn't get it all cleaned off myself before he got home. He just said "HAH! Serves you right!" and went to his room smirking. FML

It's really hard to feel sorry for you here when you opened an envelope that wasn't yours. Especially one that said "private and confidential" as a last chance warning. Totally deserved it.

This is the biggest YDI i have seen in awhile

I think OP should be more concerned that their child is making bombs period.

Or he ordered it from that company that sends them anywhere in the world.

If he's old enough to make a glitter bomb, he's old enough to clean his own room. You did deserve that because you shouldn't have been the one cleaning it

how many times does this have to said? OP was using "cleaning" as a euphinism for "snooping". She wasn't cleaning his room, she was snooping around.

Is he still talking to ya? Ask him how he made the glitter bomb, I'd love to know.

That kid is a genius! Why didn't I think of that before?

ummmm I don't want to get moderated but... yeah...

Hahaha, props to your kid, sounds like you got a genius of a son.

Sounds like your son is old enough to clean his own room.

HA! It does serve you right. Being his mom and him living under your roof does not give you the right to violate his privacy. YDI.

The only people that clicked FYL are equally snoopy parents who think you have a right to do that to anyone. Just because it's your son doesn't mean you actually own his life. Kudos to the kid.
