Today, while housesitting my neighbor's dogs the phone rang. I answered it and a voice said, "Stop checking your Facebook and take care of my dogs. They look like they need to go out." FML

Today, I went to check if my neighbours were home to return their dog, having looked after her for a few days. I looked in the window and the place was empty. They'd moved house and stuck us with their dog. FML

Today, I was babysitting for my neighbors. Their 5 year-old had finally fallen asleep at 11 after two hours of stories and songs. No sooner had I tiptoed out of the room did I realize that my phone had dropped out of my pocket onto the bed. It was ringing. It was their mother checking in. FML

Today, I found my dogs freezing outside. My neighbor was supposed to watch them while I was away, and on my way home I called to let her know she should let them have a quick walk. She thought I'd be home soon enough that she wouldn't have to let them back in. It was minus 10°C out. FML

Today, my girlfriend called me four times in a row at work. Worried, I stepped outside and answered the phone. Through tears, she screamed, "It's the cat!" Was he sick or hurt? "NO! He won't stop meowing!" FML

Everyone keeps saying "ydi, do your job" I'm sorry, but do any of you HAVE a dog? Do you stare at it every second of the day to make sure it needs something? Or would you go on Facebook when your dog is okay?

Well, 96, it's obvious the dogs wanted to go outside as stated in the FML. So the OP wasn't doing the one thing they were hired to do, which is make sure the dogs are ok. Sure I don't stare at my dogs all day long, but I know when they need something because they make it obvious. Stop defending OP because OP was slacking off.
