Today, while I was trying to explain to my friend how smoking weed everyday doesn't make you stupid, I forgot what I was talking about mid-sentence. FML

That's why you shouldn't smoke. You RETARD!! I bet you just do that cause you feel cool, this is why I hate this generation of kids now

I totally agree with you! But I'm good as long as I know I'm not one of them. But It's still annoying.

What do you mean 'this generation?" What you described is present in every generation...

just because it doesn't make you stupid doesn't mean it isn't stupid

Ok lets seperate this out. Weed does not cause stupidity, depression, mental illness, paranoia or anything else. what it does do is enhance whatever state you are in, if you are a little sad you will be worse. If you are prone to drepression and/or paranoia it can kick you off. Weed is not a bad drug in the whole scheme of things so for me it is grouped in with alcohol and caffine. Can booze make you stupid, while under the influence of it yes, so while you are under the influence of weed could you possibly be more stupid. Yes but it does not MAKE you stupid in a permanent sense. Smoke it everyday and that temporary alteration never gets a chance to leave that is how heavy stoners can seem like wasters and idiots.

I'm only going to comment on one part of your post - the part where you said it only enhances whatever mood you're in. I don't quite think that's true. I know people who have been upset but 'cheered up' after smoking weed, and I know people who were happy and became upset after smoking weed. I think it has more to do with chemical interactions. Enhancing whatever mood the person is in doesn't make sense to me due to my experiences.

ah ok well for my experiences it did lol. Just goes to show we are all different. Ok so to change my post it will change your mood but not permanently.

Actually you're wrong there. There are multiple serious psychiatric diseases that can be triggered by using weed. Schizophrenia is one of them. It's also been shown to cause things like depression and concentration problems in people who use it a lot. Weed isn't bad, but like everything, you have to use it sensibly and in moderation.

monnanon 13

Schizophrenia is NOT NOT NOT triggered by using weed. If you have the wiring for schizophrenia then anything can trigger it and weed might happen to be it but someone does not have the wiring cannot get schizophrenia from weed. As for anxiety and depression again its a predisposition to those things that weed can agravate. Weed does not cause any of them.

^You ******* idiot, that's what triggering schizophrenia means. Go kill yourself.

Spartan, you asswipe, they're trying to explain how weed CAN trigger it, but it's not the one and ONLY trigger of schizophrenia or other conditions, like the other guy seemed to be saying. Depression and schizophrenia are in your genetic makeup. That doesn't mean you will get either of them, but there's a fair chance. A person who doesn't have these genes will not get schizophrenia from marijuana. ******' douche. Read. Or go kill YOURself. One or the other.

Thanks 274 :) and to Sparta please read the WHOLE comment before making a dumbass out of yourself. Things like schizophrenia cannot be triggered from nothing OK.
