Today, while working at Kohl's this woman came up to me and asked if I was Native American, I said yes, she then says "Oh! I thought you guys went extinct." This is the country I live in. FML

lol! I get that a lot too whenever I go outta state or whenever there happens to be a tourist around me. in Oklahoma you see native Americans everywhere but when I'm in another state or whatever it's always "do u live in a teepee?" "ohhh I thought Indians didn't exist anymore" and my favorite "can I touch your hair?" lol

I'm of Native American descent but living in the UK, and believe me, it's not much better here. I often get asked about rain dances and one guy even asked me if that made me a "native briton" instead

you're right i generalized about the hillbilly population and i didn't know about justin bieber, i don't really read those type of things, if don't knowing where justin bieber comes from makes me an idiot, then something is wrong with your views of humanity I was just saying that most of the world sees USA like that Ohh and mexicans want to go to america, not because they like it, because they mostly flee poverty or the drug war going on . yes mexico isn't perfect, but we don't make a lot of our shitheads famous like the crew from jersey shore or the examples i already said.
