You ******* deserve it for allowing that in the childcare center you work in; Things like that should be reported to the owner of the center, not posted about on FML because you feel ******* sorry for yourself for having to clean it up. **** the kids' lives because you obviously don't give a shit about their health or safety.
#51, Nothing in the post says she didn't report it.
True, but what gets me is OP saying "I only cleaned the place a week ago". To me that indicates that she thinks it's more about her and not the children in the daycare.
@94, depending on OP's position at the daycare, she would probably have been present throughout the week, and would have seen it (unless the daycare is an absolute mess all the time, in which case she would also deserve it for not trying to set an example to her co-workers and the children in the center). If this is the case, and she was there throughout the week sometime, it should have been cleaned up immediately, regardless of whether or not it's her fault for it entering the center in the first place. Of course, if OP is a janitor or something and only goes there once a week, I give my apologies. However, I've never been to, or even seen a big enough center where they would actually have a janitor/cleaning person, so for now, I'm just going to stick with saying that she deserved it.
The "only cleaned it a week ago" comment doesn't mean she's feeling sorry for herself but instead surprised that all these random items (especially a yogurt from 2003) only took a week to appear.
I'm surprised the yogurt hasn't exploded already lol
I would quit and find a new job, then report this daycare center. The US has very strict policies on daycare centers (legal, registered daycare centers that is.) I worked in a daycare for four years, and we cleaned the place twice a DAY, a total scrub down and yours only has you clean once a week? That is ridiculous! Plus, used condom wrappers and 9 year old yogurt sounds incredibly unsanitary. I am not saying it is your fault because you are just employed there, it doesn't sound like you own the place. You really should report them...
A condom wrapper at a daycare!?!
Haha
I didn't think of daycare..I thought of a nursery home.
From the sound of it I imagine you will find a dead baby on your next scavenger hunt.
Lol,What kind of sick daycare is this!?!?!

And this is a daycare for children?
A used condom wrapper? What the hell are those kids doing!
