Today, whilst getting out of the shower, I tripped on the lip of the siding, bruising my middle toe. I fell, and in doing so, squished my cat. She won't even make eye contact and keeps wheezing. I have a feeling she is plotting my death. FML

I said FML because I feel horrible. And of course I took my cat to the vet. She is fine. No internal bleeding, no punctured lung, no limping. The vet said there was no damage and to be more careful. Trust me, I won't leave the bathroom door cracked open anymore. Just an update.

If she's wheezing, take her to the vet! You can't be dumb enough to think that's the cats "evil laugh".

Umm yeah I agree with #2, OP... First of all... Your cat was probably already plotting your death before this incident, and GO AND GET YOUR CAT CHECKED OUT AT A VET. There could be something that needs helping if she's wheezing. Also, even if there isn't anything wrong with her, you can sleep soundly at night knowing you didn't kill your kitty by being ignorant! Also kitties seem to know when you care and when you don't. It'll be a good bonding experience OP.

I agree! Take Fluffy to the vet ASAP! They're tough, but they're not that tough. A trip and fall like that isn't like accidentally stepping in kitty's tail... you might have done some serious damage to her insides.

Are you kidding me, take the cat to the vet you ******* idiot, humans are at least 5 times if not heavier than a cat, wheezing isn't normal. It's like someone taking a car and dropping it on top of you, your damn right you'd be hurt majorly, hope for your pets sake you wise up

Take your cat to the vet before you have a second FML- "Today, I accidentally killed my cat because I thought she was being grumpy, ends up she was bleeding internally. FML" Wheezing and ignoring you? She's probably in pain!!

A wheezing cat is a sign of a serious problem. A cat that hides or avoids you more than normal is usually not feeling well. Cats almost NEVER show signs of respiratory trouble unless it's serious. Your cat probably has internal bleeding, or broken ribs (which can potentially puncture a lung, FYI) or some other very bad internal damage, since the average adult human is at least 10 times a cat's weight. She's not plotting your death, but she might be trying to die. GO TO THE VET NOW. I don't care what time it is where you are, find a vet that's open, get off the internet, and take your cat there.

You seriously need to take her to the vet. She could have a diagrammatic hernia. Wheezing is not normal, take her now!

you need to take her into the vet. f your cat's life. you deserve a big bill for thinking this would be funny.
