Today, whilst getting out of the shower, I tripped on the lip of the siding, bruising my middle toe. I fell, and in doing so, squished my cat. She won't even make eye contact and keeps wheezing. I have a feeling she is plotting my death. FML

Ashlynnlove tells us more.

I said FML because I feel horrible. And of course I took my cat to the vet. She is fine. No internal bleeding, no punctured lung, no limping. The vet said there was no damage and to be more careful. Trust me, I won't leave the bathroom door cracked open anymore. Just an update.

If she's wheezing, take her to the vet! You can't be dumb enough to think that's the cats "evil laugh".

You probably seriously injured her. You're being a terrible owner by not taking her to the vet. That's neglect.

I feel like instead of saying your life sucks we need to be saying the cat's does! listen to what people are saying and take it to the vet.

The wheezing could be a collapsed lung. She needs medical care.

As everyone said, please take your cat to the vet. The fact that she isn't making eye contact is probably just more proof something's not okay.

What kind of wanker assumes that his cat wheezing is some kind of mean vendetta on the part of the animal, instead of thinking "Um, maybe I should take her to the vet, seeing as I fell on her..."

Guys she is fine. Turn out she just has a nasty hairball. She puked all over my bed.

Regardless, if she was fine before you squished her, you should still get her checked out. It'd be awful if unknown damage caused any future problems.

right. You fell on your cat. Go ahead and take her to the vet. Cats are VERY GOOD at hiding internal injuries such as broken ribs. Suck up the cost and the inconvenience and make sure she's okay. It's not worth the risk not to do this.

Poor cat,you don't wheeze from just a hairball. She could have damage inside.

You should take her to the vet anyways just to make sure everything is ok. You can't always tell just by looking at her if something is wrong.

Or her puking is another sign of internal damage you did falling on her. Don't you think the timing is a little too coincidental??

I would still take her to the vet to be sure everything is fine.

The hairball had obviously been there for a while, but she wasn't wheezing from it before you squished her. Please get her medical attention, cats are incredibly good at keeping even the most unbelievably significant injuries and illnesses secret. She may be puking from injury.

Take her to the vet! You're not a vet & I'm telling you, something's wrong! I just lost my best friend of 10 years, my sweet little baby, if my vet could've saved him, I'd have spent any thing I could beg, borrow or get anyway I could! He's a dog not a cat but, still they need vet care!

Oh my God, that poor baby's gonna die. :'( Take her to the vet, please.

She did take her to the vet and the cat is fine... Look at her other comment.

It's a cat. It was probably plotting your death anyways.

Or she has internal injuries like a broken rib piercing her lung? Better get her to the vet to make sure she's ok.

Wheezing could possibly mean a punctured lung... Might want to go to the Vet ASAP
