Tuck in

Today, I was told by my doctor I should start eating meat again after two years of vegetarianism, in an effort to be healthier. After horrid gas after my first turkey sandwich, I was told that my body no longer has the enzymes to digest meat. My efforts to be healthy crippled my stomach. FML

Talk to said doctor and get enzyme supplements. Orrr create animal shaped vege products and call it a day.

Your body should start producing them again, eventually. Until then, your body will have a beef with you.

Wow the bullshit people spout is actually quite funny. It's not difficult to balance your diet either by eating meat or not. I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. I have never had any problems due to my diet. If anything I don't gain weight as easily as my food is much lower in saturated fat. Omnivorous simply means you can eat meat or not or enjoy both, there is no ****** riddle just use your brain. I do think meat eaters are a little offended by the idea of vegetarianism as it basically attacks their way of life. However we are free to choose.

your body won't be used to the bacteria be careful as it could make you very ill I've been vege for over 6 years now, I couldn't go back

I feel like there's not enough information concerning this story. I feel as the doctor would've gone over a dietary plan to slowly reintroduce meat back into OP's diet.

Congratulations for not eating meat :) it's a shame that you couldn't go on with the diet. Good luck finding a solution!

There are other ways of being healthy without taking meat out of your diet permanently

In order to redevelop your enzymes, you need to eat tiny quantities of meat with your normal meals. After a month or so, you should be about back to normal. My cousin came back from vegetarianism a few years ago.

This scares me as I am a vegetarian as well

That's what you get for going against nature. This should be a lesson to all vegetarian and vegan morons

Your doctor is very ignorant about nutrition. You do not need meat to be healthy. In fact, you cannot reach true health while consuming rotting carcasses and animal secretions. Eat food that is ALIVE and you will feel alive! Forks Over Knives is a great documentary. Read The China Study, 80/10/10, The Starch Solution, and The World Peace Diet. A high carb, low fat, whole foods, plant-based diet is the healthiest diet there is. And I would go a step further and be Raw til 4. And to the genius at the top who thinks you're eating his/her "food's food" - 70% of the world's grain goes to factory farmed animals. Those animals eat FAR more plants than any human ever could. I really hope you're just joking because that argument isn't very well thought out... ;)
