Today, I heard my boyfriend of 3 months talking with his friend, not knowing I could hear them. "Tonight's the night," my boyfriend says. "I'm finally going to tell her I love her!" I got really excited, deciding i loved him too. Then his friend says, "Awesome! But what about Kayla?" I'm Kayla. FML

Today, my boyfriend wanted to tell me how much he loves me. He said a lot of wonderful things, such as not being able to live without me and hoping that I would want to live with him and marry him someday. He ended his loving speech with his ex-girlfriend's name instead of mine. FML

Today, I'd been getting ready to hear my boyfriend's proposal, as his friends had told me he'd talked to them about planning it. He showed up at my house out of the blue… to tell me he's breaking up with me, only to find out he proposed to his ex hours later. FML

This reminds me of this guy i used to hang out with a few years ago. whenever i had a girlfriend over he'd say "so is this rachel?" when i went out with a girl named ashley. it might have just been his friend messing around or being stupid

Wow #17 that is a very good point and it seems quite possible... And #11 although this person may not have been the most observant isn't it just common courtesy to honor the commitment you make when you date someone?? I don't believe you can do anything to deserve being cheated on, although many times it should be detected when it is missed. and #29 where is the rule that you have to be in love to date??? Don't you think its important to date then fall in love??

#17 and #19: What do you think happened? She heard the "What about Kayla?" and just immediately ran off crying and posting to FML? Obviously, they continued the conversation and she at least heard the next line, so it's stupid to speculate on the meaning of it. It could go one of 2 ways: 1. "What about Kayla?" "I hope she feels the same way about me." result: Awwww! They live happily ever after. 2. "What about Kayla?" "I'm gonna have to dump her." result: Running, crying, screaming, logging in to FML.
