Today, my longtime partner had a mental breakdown and broke into my home. After forcefully having to get him out of my house and dealing with Police all morning, my 16-year-old daughter decided to tell me that she's pregnant. She thought one hour after a break in was the right time to tell me. FML

Today, my girlfriend told me she's pregnant and I did not take it well. She had planned to record my happy reaction for Facebook; instead she got video of me bursting into tears, and trying to talk her into an emergency abortion. She sent it to my parents to punish me. FML

Today, my mother was sneaking through my underwear and found my condoms and the bills from the hospital where I had my IUD inserted. She then started yelling at me, saying that I didn't have permission to not have children and that, "I get to choose, not you." I'm 28 years old. FML

Today, my mom disowned me and kicked me out of the house, all because I used Plan B to terminate a potential pregnancy after I had unprotected sex. She actually packed a suitcase and duffle-bag for me, told me to hit the road, and to never come back. She told me she’d call the police for trespassing if I didn’t comply. FML

Today, my girlfriend revealed she'd had an abortion. I wasn’t even aware she’d been pregnant, and she admitted it’s because my grandad and two of my siblings have autism, and she didn’t want to risk having an autistic child and dealing with the shame. FML

This kind of bullshit is exactly the reason I kept my boyfriend a secret and why I got a mortgage I can barely afford, just so I didn’t live with my dad anymore. FML

You “had to throw your 16 year old out.” You felt you HAD to make a child homeless because you did not have the skills to build trust between you and your child. You’re disgusting and I sincerely hope she never has to speak to you again.

She kept it a secret from you because she correctly predicted you couldn't be trusted to do your duty as a mother to love and care for her, which you demonstrated through your actions. I hope she finds a new life without her horrible mother.

You "had to." No. You CHOSE to, and that's not the same. Consider why your kid didn't go to you with any of the information- you've acted like this before or destroyed their trust and now you're repeating that pattern. When you're cut off completely, remember your own actions caused it.
