To be honest, I think that's something to definitely tall about but not necessarily get a divorce over. If he is inconsiderate like this all the time, then yes. if not, I am sure he had his reasons and guys can just be oblivious sometime (not trying to defend him here). So yes, divorce would be the solution if she is unhappy with him or if he doesn't treat her with respect or as in this case, simply doesn't care about her.

This attitude is why divorce rates are so high, especially in the US (I know OP is from Switzerland). Why try to work out your problems with your supposedly significant other when you can just take half his stuff and find a new one more suited to your needs at the moment? People are getting married too early and don't take the time to really get to know each other.

I can't, just like you can't prove she is. But I can bring some elements: if she is really from Switzerland, canton de Vaud, her mother language would be French. She'd be more likely to post on the French part of FML. Plus, her English level is much higher than most Swiss people's. I'm from there myself and the average person would say "keep a seat", a direct translation from French. Ok, she might be, for some reason, extra good at English, it's a possibility. Plus, there are a lot of international corporations and organizations in canton de Vaud, thus a lot of expats. She might as well be American, British, Swedish, Indian or whatever. Finally, she doesn't seem to know many people where she's working so maybe she hasn't been there for so long. But it doesn't really matter.
