Alas, poor Salem

Today, a policeman and I confronted my psychotic neighbor, who stole my cat because she thinks flea bites cause cancer. She refused to tell us what she'd done with the cat. I just spent $100 last month in vet bills, and my kids are crying for their pet. He's probably in pieces in her freezer. FML

Well I hope that bitch is locked up in a jail-cell now.

Tell her human bites cause cancer. Then bite her.

I am sorry OP but it was bound to happen. this is why letting cats roam freely outdoors is frowned upon. There are so many sickos out there. They are honestly much safer inside. I really hope your cat is alive :/ if not I am sorry. Please keep your pets indoor in the future. Poor cat. Hope the lady gets put away.

what the hell makes her think that she has the right to touch your pussy?!

At least the police are involved, keep at it and they'll get the truth out hopefully, in the meantime I suggest suing to get the $100 back and take the rest of the money you get to not only get a new cat but to spread awareness of what she did. Also, set up a security system and put a GPS chip in the cat, if she murders this one too you'll have proof and Bam! Instant one way ticket to the psych ward. Bye bye crazy

Sounds a bit expensive concerning the original concern of the $100 spent. Don't get me wrong though, GPS, security systems, and SAT-COMs to your cat I'm all about. Though could just keep it indoors.

Arrest her ass for abduction. I hope your cat is alright, OP. FYL.

In the eyes of the law, a cat is a thing. It's not abduction, it's petty theft.

Keep ur cat in ur house and not letting it run around everywhere and bug people asshole

It's bad enough when you get fools who steal animals. Stealing animals kids love though?!? I suggest, if it weren't against the law, and nothing is done, that some vigilante justice should be in order.

Yep, that crazy lady would be missing something of her own, every single day until I found out what happened to the cat.

If I was in your neck of the woods I would personally break into her house for you, in some sort of vigilante costume and get your cat back. Or at least poor kitty's remains so your kids could have closure. I feel bad fir your kids and their cat. :(

You only deserve this because you thought how much your vet bill was was pertinent information.. It doesn't matter, you're supposed to love your cat/pets. It's not an investment..

I don't think the OP deserved this, but I am 100% with you on the rest of it. People who are more concerned about the money they spend than they are about the pet probably shouldn't get one in the first place. It's one thing to literally not be able to afford the costs of owning a pet (in which case you should never have one), but if you can afford it you don't tally it up and keep track so you can whip out a number at a moment's notice. In that way, it's kind of like raising a child - if you truly care, the money won't matter as much.

OP, I had a neighbor steal one of my cats one time. It turns out he had taken her to an animal shelter an hour away. I suggest you drive to nearby ones in case that is what this neighbor did. They may be cold hearted and psychotic, but hacking up a cat to pieces seems far fetched.

Oh my god. Why? Why did your neighbor steal your cat? This is why mine are indoor. I love them too much to let anything happen to them. If someone hurt them...

Well his wife divorced him shortly after this happened and he then moved away. He didn't like our cats being outside freely walking around. To this day they are still allowed to go outside (at certain times). We live in a small animal friendly neighborhood and he was the outcast. We've had no problems since he moved. :)
